About this role

Waabi seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead new product introduction (NPI) for autonomous vehicle hardware, managing the complete launch cycle from prototype to production validation at contract manufacturers. You'll own APQP program management, design for manufacturability, supplier quality, and production readiness while ensuring quality targets are met at scale.

What you'll do

  • Drive APQP program management and PPAP deliverables at CM/Tier 1 sites to achieve flawless Start of Production
  • Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly (DFA) reviews, ensuring hardware can be built repeatedly with CM tooling
  • Lead mechanical assembly, test, and integration of sensors, compute, and actuation systems with special characteristic definition
  • Design, qualify, and validate manufacturing equipment, tooling, gauges, and End-of-Line testers with MSA/Gage R&R
  • Support Process Verification testing, Run-at-Rate studies, and RCCA investigations using 8D methodology for assembly failures
  • Collaborate with Field Quality to update Control Plans based on real-world performance and OEM partner feedback
