About this role
Wayve, a leading autonomous driving AI company, seeks an embedded software engineer to bring up and validate their AI software stack on customer hardware platforms in the US market. You'll handle platform integration across diverse automotive SoCs, collaborate with verification and OEM teams, and develop automation for hardware testing and deployment.
What you'll do
- Execute software bring-up and validation on customer automotive hardware platforms (NVIDIA Drive, Qualcomm Ride)
- Port and configure Linux-based systems, QNX, and Adaptive AUTOSAR environments on target hardware
- Integrate drivers, middleware, and boot configurations; implement system diagnostics and secure boot
- Collaborate with Verification, Release, and OEM teams to integrate hardware into CI/CD and HIL test infrastructure
- Develop automation scripts for hardware setup, flashing, health checks, and test execution
- Troubleshoot hardware-specific integration issues with OEM and Tier 1 partners
What they're looking for
- C/C++, Bash, and Python programming
- Linux embedded systems (Yocto, systemd, bootloaders, device trees)
- QNX and Adaptive AUTOSAR configuration and debugging
- Automotive SoC bring-up (NVIDIA Orin, Qualcomm SA8295/SA8650, Renesas, TI)
- Hardware debugging tools, flashing, serial consoles, and BSPs
- Communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C)
- CI/CD pipeline integration and test automation
- Docker, Jenkins, Git, and secure boot/OTA updates (desirable)
