Wayve seeks a Vehicle Validation Engineer to design and execute comprehensive testing programs for autonomous driving systems, ensuring vehicles are deployment-ready and generating high-quality data to accelerate AI development. You'll bridge engineering and operations, developing validation approaches that evaluate real-world performance and provide actionable insights across technical and customer perspectives.

What you'll do

  • Plan and execute vehicle tests for development, validation, benchmarking, and real-world deployment
  • Develop and improve validation test concepts to evaluate system performance across diverse scenarios
  • Prepare, maintain, and ensure vehicles are ready for safe and efficient testing
  • Deliver test data, performance reports, and actionable insights to support rapid iteration
  • Provide detailed feedback on vehicle behavior, driving performance, and system gaps
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to translate testing needs into effective activities

  • CANalyzer, CANoe, or similar vehicle diagnostic tools
  • Vehicle instrumentation and data logging (Vector, ETAS, Racelogic)
  • Structured vehicle testing in proving grounds and real-world environments
  • Linux, Windows, and SSH-based environments
  • Test case development and validation planning
  • Data analysis and technical reporting
  • Safety-critical testing practices and risk assessment
  • Python, MATLAB, or other scripting/data analysis tools (desirable)
