About this role

SpaceXAI is hiring an experienced Data Center Operations Technician to manage fiber infrastructure, rack-and-stack operations, and Layer 1 connectivity in a hyperscale AI training environment. You'll own MMR/MDF operations, perform fiber troubleshooting and installation, and ensure maximum availability of critical infrastructure supporting AI clusters.

What you'll do

  • Manage operational readiness of MMR and MDF spaces including cleanliness, access control, labeling, and space utilization
  • Install, test, dress, and document fiber infrastructure; execute cross-connects and maintain accurate fiber maps and circuit records
  • Troubleshoot fiber issues using OTDR and optical power meters; coordinate with NOC and engineering to resolve production incidents
  • Execute rack-and-stack of servers and network gear with cable management and physical layer standards adherence
  • Support power distribution operations including PDU management, breaker coordination, and load monitoring
  • Monitor HVAC coordination and lead incident response for Layer 1 and physical infrastructure events
