About this role

xAI seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and build power systems for advanced data center facilities in Memphis, TN. You'll lead electrical infrastructure projects including power distribution, generators, UPS systems, and controls while collaborating with MEP teams and ensuring code compliance in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

  • Design electrical power distribution systems, switchgear, motor control centers, and backup power infrastructure
  • Perform load flow analysis, equipment evaluation, and grounding design for facility electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot existing electrical equipment and provide engineering support to facility technicians
  • Ensure electrical designs comply with NFPA codes, NEC, IBC, and other applicable regulations
  • Coordinate electrical installations and maintenance with utilities personnel and cross-functional engineering teams
  • Review schematics, O&M manuals, and equipment specifications for compatibility with facility power budgets
