Facilities Infrastructure Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure)

About this role

xAI seeks a Facilities Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain advanced data center facilities in Memphis. You'll lead MEP projects from concept through commissioning, manage ongoing operations, and solve complex infrastructure challenges in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Lead MEP engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning projects with internal teams and external contractors
• Oversee maintenance and repairs of HVAC, electrical, fire protection, security, and facility systems
• Develop engineering drawings, documentation, and reports for large industrial/commercial projects
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time across multiple disciplines and stakeholders
• Manage capital expenditure processes including budget, approvals, permits, and final inspections
• Respond to facility emergencies and maintain readiness procedures for environmental threats
