About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks a Design Quality Engineer to serve as the quality gate for a defense contractor's model modernization program. You'll validate converted mechanical (Creo) and electrical (Zuken E3) designs against source drawings, ensuring completeness and semantic equivalence before PLM system release.
What you'll do
- Execute structured validation checks on mechanical and electrical models covering model integrity, tolerancing, annotations, and release readiness
- Verify electrical designs including connectors, connectivity, splices, shields, device-tree structure, and BOM accuracy
- Compare converted 3D models against source 2D drawings to confirm dimensional and content agreement
- Produce validation and deviation reports supporting model release decisions
- Review section views, annotations, 3D PDFs, and drawing linkages for completeness
- Identify and document discrepancies between converted models and original specifications
