About this role

Allen Control Systems seeks a Systems Reliability Engineer to drive system-level reliability and risk reduction for autonomous weapon platforms. You'll own the full lifecycle from test planning and failure analysis through corrective action tracking, working across hardware and software teams to ensure robust, mission-critical performance.

What you'll do

  • Define system reliability goals, verification priorities, and failure-focused evaluation criteria for autonomous platforms
  • Identify and plan reliability-critical tests, stress cases, and operating conditions to expose failure modes
  • Analyze test and field data to determine failure modes, performance limits, and reliability risks with clear conclusions
  • Lead root-cause investigations for reliability failures across electrical, mechanical, software, and control interfaces
  • Develop reliability trending methods, failure categorization systems, and corrective-action tracking processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design robustness, observability, and failure tolerance
