About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced Design Quality Engineer to ensure visual quality and craftsmanship of Class-A automotive accessories throughout product development. The role involves validating appearance-sensitive components (molded, painted, wrapped, chrome) against design standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues before production.
What you'll do
- Validate Class-A components for visual quality, craftsmanship, and alignment with design intent
- Evaluate molded, painted, wrapped, and chrome components against appearance and dimensional standards
- Collaborate with Design, CMF, Mastering, Suppliers, and Manufacturing teams to identify and resolve issues
- Support development and maintenance of craftsmanship expectations across vehicle programs
- Assess production readiness and supplier quality for appearance-sensitive accessories
- Balance design intent with manufacturing feasibility in fast-paced automotive environments
