Embedded Software Engineer (Safety, Multimedia, Audio & Camera)
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to integrate and bring up safety, multimedia, audio, and camera subsystems on an AMD infotainment development kit for an automotive proof-of-concept project. The role requires deep expertise in Linux kernel development, camera and audio HAL integration, and ISO 26262 safety-aware embedded systems.
What you'll do
- Integrate and validate safety monitor subsystem including watchdog, error detection, and FTTI mechanisms on AMD platform
- Lead camera subsystem bring-up: MIPI CSI-2, ISP integration, V4L2 driver stack, and frame capture validation
- Lead audio subsystem bring-up: codec integration, ALSA, audio HAL, and latency measurement
- Collaborate with AMD on safety and multimedia driver support
- Validate ISO 26262-compliant safety mechanisms against acceptance criteria
- Document multimedia and safety integration progress for program reviews
