About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Jigs & Tooling Design Engineer to develop and improve production tooling solutions for aerospace manufacturing at their Mobile, AL facility. You'll design jigs and fixtures using CATIA, support manufacturing floor operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to Airbus quality standards.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop production jigs, fixtures, and tooling in CATIA aligned with Airbus design standards
  • Provide hands-on engineering support during tooling installation, tryouts, and manufacturing ramp-up
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues affecting safety, quality, delivery, and cost on the production floor
  • Analyze performance data and implement improvements to enhance ergonomics, cycle time, and reliability
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance teams on tooling specifications and acceptance testing
  • Ensure compliance with Airbus processes, regulatory requirements, and maintain configuration control documentation
