Environmental Test Engineer
About this role
Anduril Industries is hiring an Environmental Test Engineer to develop and execute climatic and environmental testing on defense technology products. You'll design test procedures per MIL-STD-810 and DO-160, operate specialized test equipment, analyze data, and partner with program teams to deliver engineering evidence supporting product qualification.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute environmental test procedures for thermal, dynamic, climatic, corrosion, and ingress testing per MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 standards
- Tailor test methods by selecting appropriate levels, durations, and success criteria based on operational environment and product requirements
- Design instrumentation and data acquisition approaches including sensor selection, channel configuration, and measurement uncertainty analysis
- Program and operate test controllers (WATLOW F4s/F4Ts) and vibration control software (VibrationVIEW, ObserVIEW)
- Set up and operate electrodynamic shaker systems for sine, random, SRS, and mixed-mode vibration testing
- Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and produce engineering reports supporting qualification decisions
