About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Motor Controls Engineer in Costa Mesa to design and develop complex electro-mechanical systems for defense technology platforms. You'll own projects from concept through production, working hands-on with PCB design, motor controllers, and embedded systems while collaborating across disciplines.

What you'll do

  • Design, prototype, and test complex electro-mechanical and control systems including motors, servos, and actuation circuits
  • Execute PCB design using tools like Altium or KiCAD, from schematic through board bringup and integration
  • Conduct trade studies, physics-based analysis, and performance characterization of engineering concepts
  • Manage vendor relationships, evaluate off-the-shelf solutions, and perform market research
  • Lead design reviews, execute hardware test plans, troubleshoot failures, and transition prototypes to production
  • Support customer demonstrations and on-site testing as needed
