About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the technical vision and architecture for Dive-XL, an autonomous underwater system for a major U.S. defense program. You'll serve as the single point of technical accountability, overseeing multi-disciplinary teams across hardware, software, and operations to deliver mission-critical capabilities for undersea defense.
What you'll do
- Define and drive system architecture, technical roadmap, and engineering excellence across all disciplines
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams and provide technical mentorship to foster innovation and problem-solving
- Oversee complete development lifecycle from requirements through integration, test, and deployment
- Serve as primary technical authority for design decisions, trade-offs, and risk mitigation
- Engage with customers and stakeholders as lead technical point of contact; manage cross-team dependencies
- Coordinate with cross-site teams to ensure architectural consistency across program variants
