About this role

Varda seeks a Space Embedded Linux Software Engineer to develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules operating in low Earth orbit. You will own the full lifecycle of safety-critical embedded systems development in C++, from requirements and design through testing and on-orbit operations support.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain reliable flight software for spacecraft and reentry capsule systems
  • Write structured bare metal, RTOS, and Linux-based embedded code in C++
  • Lead software design, testing, integration, and verification/validation activities
  • Capture requirements and conduct design trades for open-ended problems
  • Ensure system quality and performance through comprehensive testing and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on problem-solving and communication
