Anduril Industries
Software Engineer, Air & Missile Defense
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Software Engineer to develop advanced tracking algorithms and real-time systems for air and missile defense radar applications. You'll design multi-target tracking solutions, build high-performance distributed systems processing massive sensor data, and collaborate with radar engineers to integrate solutions into mission-critical defense platforms.
What you'll do
- Design and implement advanced tracking algorithms for multi-target detection, track fusion, and threat discrimination
- Develop high-performance real-time software systems processing radar sensor data for dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets
- Build modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify improvements
- Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end systems
- Optimize tracking software for performance-critical environments where millisecond latency matters
- Communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams, leadership, and customers; participate in customer demonstrations and field tests
What they're looking for
- C++ and Python programming
- Multi-target tracking algorithms
- Real-time distributed systems
- Linear algebra, probability, and statistics
- Signal processing and sensor fusion
- Software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, version control)
- Performance optimization
- Radar systems understanding
