Anthropic is hiring a Data Center Controls Engineer to design and implement control systems for global AI datacenter infrastructure, managing liquid cooling, HVAC, power monitoring, and building automation. The role combines industrial automation expertise with systems integration across multiple sites, requiring both technical depth and cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do
- Design multi-site control system architecture with redundancy and high-availability for global datacenters
- Develop SCADA/BMS applications using platforms like Ignition or Niagara to manage mechanical, electrical, and environmental systems
- Architect telemetry systems for centralized data collection and deploy dashboards for performance monitoring and predictive maintenance
- Select and specify instrumentation including sensors, transmitters, and control valves for cooling loops and power distribution
- Integrate control systems with enterprise networks while maintaining security and compliance with industrial control standards
- Participate in construction projects and create technical documentation including P&IDs, control narratives, and commissioning procedures
