About this role
Join Anthropic's Research Data Platform team to build the data infrastructure and tools that power AI research. You'll work directly with researchers to develop pipelines, APIs, and interfaces for managing and analyzing training data, combining backend data engineering with user-focused product thinking.
What you'll do
- Design and build data pipelines that extract training run data into queryable storage systems
- Develop APIs, libraries, and web interfaces for researcher data management and exploration
- Create dataset cataloging, provenance, and metadata tooling for daily research workflows
- Partner directly with research teams to understand workflows and identify high-impact solutions
- Collaborate with adjacent teams to leverage existing systems and avoid duplication

- ETL, columnar storage, and query engines (Spark, BigQuery, DuckDB, Parquet)
- Time series data ingestion, storage, and querying at scale
