Product Engineer - Agents

About this role

Antimetal seeks a Product Engineer to build AI agent-powered infrastructure management features across the full stack. You'll design agentic workflows, engineer retrieval systems, and ship end-to-end product features while collaborating closely with platform and research teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

What you'll do

• Design and build agentic workflows for production incidents including orchestration, prompting, and tool use
• Engineer context and retrieval systems using semantic search, keyword matching, APIs, and SQL queries
• Ship product features end-to-end from backend data models to React interfaces
• Partner with platform and research teams to integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing products
• Own ambiguous projects from conception through delivery, breaking them into milestones
• Collaborate directly with customers to validate features and refine product-market fit

What they're looking for

• 5+ years full-stack, product, or AI engineering experience
• Production experience with LLMs and agent-based systems
• TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and NestJS
• AI production expertise: evaluations, latency, error handling, streaming
• End-to-end project ownership in startup settings
• Cross-functional leadership and ambiguous problem-solving
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes optional)
• Retrieval and search systems (bonus)
