C++ Software Engineer – Autonomous Systems
About this role
Applied Intuition seeks a C++ Software Engineer to develop core framework software enabling collaborative autonomy across multi-domain environments (air, ground, maritime). You'll build high-performance systems, work with AI-assisted development tools, and collaborate with autonomy engineers and product teams to deliver robust solutions for defense and commercial autonomous platforms.
What you'll do
- Design and implement high-performance C++ systems for collaborative autonomy frameworks in multi-domain environments
- Enable coordination and collaboration between multiple autonomous agents across different operational domains
- Partner with autonomy engineers, product managers, and customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Profile, debug, and optimize code for real-time performance in resource-constrained environments
- Create automation scripts and tooling using Python and shell scripting to improve development velocity
- Utilize agentic coding tools and AI assistants to accelerate development and maintain code quality
