About this role
Astranis seeks a Facilities Engineer to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure systems supporting satellite manufacturing at their San Francisco facility. You'll lead capital projects, manage building utilities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across their 153,000 sq ft operation.
What you'll do
- Design and manage HVAC, electrical, compressed air, and utility systems for spacecraft manufacturing
- Lead capital improvement projects from concept through commissioning with budget and schedule oversight
- Develop preventive maintenance strategies using CMMS and monitor facility performance metrics
- Manage contractor coordination, vendors, and engineering consultants for large infrastructure projects
- Maintain EHS compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Create engineering documentation including utility layouts, drawings, and standard operating procedures
