About this role
Join Astronomer's Customer Reliability Engineering team to provide expert Apache Airflow support to sophisticated enterprise customers. You'll solve complex data engineering challenges, deepen your technical expertise across Airflow, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, and help customers optimize their mission-critical data workflows.
What you'll do
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to enterprise customers using Apache Airflow and Astro platform
- Debug and resolve Airflow configuration, performance, and operational issues ranging from optimization to edge cases
- Collaborate with customers' data engineers, DevOps teams, and management to prioritize issues and meet SLAs
- Contribute up to 20% of time to side projects including open-source Airflow contributions and internal monitoring systems
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation with 6-hour daytime pager coverage and weekend shifts
- Share customer feedback and insights to influence the direction of the Airflow project
