About this role
Axon is hiring a Software Engineer I for their Privacy team in Seattle to build cloud-based systems that support data privacy and compliance across their public safety ecosystem. You'll design scalable back-end services, work with privacy-enhancing technologies, and collaborate closely with product teams to solve critical customer challenges.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain back-end systems and services for privacy and data compliance tooling
- Lead or participate in design reviews to evaluate and select appropriate technologies
- Triage, debug, and resolve product and system issues affecting service operations
- Build data pipelines and integrate third-party solutions with internal systems
- Develop scalable APIs and microservices for multi-tenant cloud environments
- Work with open source technologies and latest privacy-enhancing tools

- Cloud infrastructure (Azure or equivalent public cloud platforms)
- Backend service development in Go, Python, or similar languages
- Microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and service orchestration
- API design and implementation for scalable systems
