About this role
Senior individual contributor role developing complex automation proposals and manufacturing solutions for custom equipment. You'll lead customer opportunities, prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, and mentor junior engineers while operating with high independence in a manufacturing automation environment.
What you'll do
- Prepare detailed automation proposals including process concepts, budgets, cycle time analysis, labor estimates, and project timing
- Lead complex customer opportunities involving technical ambiguity, commercial risk, or strategic importance
- Generate manufacturing process strategies for assembly, welding, machining, robotic, and inspection automation
- Mentor less experienced Applications Engineers through technical guidance and proposal reviews
- Support project kickoff and engineering teams by communicating proposal concepts, customer requirements, and assumptions
- Maintain vendor information, lessons learned, and estimating references to improve future proposal accuracy
