About this role
Axon seeks a Mission Engineer to embed onsite with a strategic law enforcement agency, owning end-to-end customer outcomes by building and deploying AI-powered workflows, integrations, and operational solutions on Axon's platform. You'll combine technical expertise with leadership to drive real operational transformation—not just software adoption—while maintaining ~3-4 days/week onsite presence.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and ship AI agents, workflows, automations, and integrations directly on Axon's platform (DEMS, Fusus, AI Era, Records) to solve agency mission problems
- Discover onsite operational friction, translate into buildable solutions, and validate impact with real users and production data
- Drive hands-on AI adoption, iterate until solutions stick in production, and measure outcomes tied to mission impact
- Assess workflows, lead operational transformation, and establish trusted relationships with agency leadership and command staff
- Troubleshoot integrations and coordinate root-cause resolution across Product, Engineering, Support, and Services teams
- Capture field intelligence, turn one-off builds into reusable playbooks, and identify expansion opportunities for account growth
