About this role
Axon seeks a Mission Engineer II to embed with public safety agencies, understand their operational challenges, and build technical solutions using Axon's platform, AI, and automation tools. You'll balance hands-on software development with customer liaison responsibilities, driving real outcomes from discovery through adoption and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Embed with assigned agencies to understand their workflows, systems, and operational pain points
- Build applications, dashboards, workflows, and automations using Axon products and approved development tools
- Translate customer problems into technical requirements and measurable success criteria
- Serve as the agency's primary technical resource for Axon environment questions and critical issues
- Test solutions iteratively with end-users and drive adoption until they deliver sustained operational value
- Share learnings across Mission Engineering and feed customer insights back to Product teams

- Software engineering fundamentals (APIs, data structures, scripting, testing, debugging, version control)
- Python, JavaScript, SQL, or similar programming languages
- REST APIs and cloud platforms
