Mission Engineer - Miami

Florida-Remote (Remote)midAdded today

About this role

Axon seeks a Mission Engineer to embed with a strategic law enforcement agency in Miami, owning end-to-end customer outcomes by building and deploying AI-powered workflows, automations, and integrations on the Axon platform. You'll spend 3–4 days per week onsite, translating operational problems into production solutions while driving adoption and measuring real mission impact.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and ship AI agents, workflows, automations, and integrations on Axon's platform directly addressing agency mission needs
  • Embed onsite (3–4 days/week) to discover problems, validate solutions with real users and data, and iterate until adoption sticks
  • Lead operational transformation by assessing workflows, identifying friction, and defining success metrics before deployment
  • Drive AI adoption and measure impact on usage, workflow efficiency, and mission outcomes; iterate when results don't stick
  • Troubleshoot failures onsite and coordinate root-cause resolution with Product, Engineering, Support, and Services teams
  • Capture field intelligence and turn one-off builds into reusable playbooks; identify expansion opportunities and influence roadmap decisions

What they're looking for

  • Platform building and configuration (Axon DEMS, Fusus, AI Era, Records, integrations)
  • AI/ML workflow design (agents, prompts, RAG, evaluations, LLM applications)
  • Operational process improvement and workflow assessment
  • Stakeholder engagement and executive presence with command staff
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
  • Data pipeline and automation design
  • Compliance knowledge (CJIS, evidence integrity, privacy)
  • Program management and outcome measurement
