Mission Engineer - Tampa & Hillsborough County
About this role
Axon seeks a Mission Engineer to embed onsite with Tampa & Hillsborough County law enforcement, owning the full lifecycle of Axon's technology ecosystem. You'll design, build, and deploy AI-powered workflows, automations, and integrations directly with agency stakeholders, measuring success by operational outcomes and production impact rather than activity metrics.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy AI agents, workflows, automations, and integrations onsite using Axon's platform (DEMS, Fusus, AI Era, Records)
- Discover agency operational problems and translate them into compliant, mission-focused technical solutions
- Drive hands-on adoption and iterate in the field until solutions stick, then document patterns for reuse
- Lead quarterly business reviews and strategic planning with agency leadership; define success metrics and capture baselines
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate root-cause resolution across Product, Engineering, and Support teams
- Maintain 3–4 days/week onsite presence; capture field intelligence and expansion opportunities to inform product roadmap
