Technology Operations Engineer
About this role
Benchling seeks a Technology Operations Engineer to be the primary on-site tech resource for the Boston office, handling helpdesk support, IT asset management, SaaS administration, and employee onboarding. You'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage device lifecycles, and collaborate with distributed TechOps teams across San Francisco and Zurich to support a global workforce.
What you'll do
- Serve as primary on-site technology resource and local escalation point for Boston office
- Provide Tier 1 helpdesk support for software, hardware, applications, AV, and networking across Boston and remote locations
- Own IT asset management including inventory, procurement, lifecycle, and device retirement
- Administer SaaS platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and Zoom
- Lead local onboarding experience including system preparation and new hire orientation
- Own TechOps projects related to identity access management, client platforms, and infrastructure
