About this role

Best Egg, a fintech platform specializing in installment lending and financial wellness tools, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure platform stability and performance. You'll work in a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence while supporting a growing financial services platform preparing for integration with Barclays.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and monitoring systems to ensure platform reliability and uptime
  • Respond to and resolve production incidents with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention
  • Develop automation and tooling to reduce manual operational overhead
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system architecture and deployment processes
  • Establish and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs across critical services
  • Mentor and guide team members on reliability practices and operational best practices

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Datadog, ELK, or similar)
  • CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
  • Linux/Unix system administration
  • Incident response and on-call management
  • Python, Go, or other scripting/programming languages
