About this role
Blossom Health is hiring an Applied AI Software Engineer to build LLM-powered features for a mental healthcare platform. You'll own AI products end-to-end—from prototyping through production—working closely with clinicians to automate and augment complex healthcare workflows.
What you'll do
- Build and ship AI-native product experiences for clinicians and patients
- Design and develop LLM-powered systems and agents that automate healthcare workflows
- Own AI features end-to-end from prototyping through production deployment and iteration
- Build evaluation, monitoring, and feedback systems to improve AI quality and reliability
- Collaborate with clinicians and engineers to identify high-impact AI use cases
- Move quickly from emerging AI capabilities to production-ready solutions
What they're looking for
- Python and/or TypeScript
- LLM APIs and agentic systems
- Prompt engineering and tool calling
- Retrieval systems and structured outputs
- Production AI systems and evals
- Full-stack development and rapid experimentation
- Healthcare domain knowledge (preferred)
- System design for reliability and cost optimization
