About this role
Join Nextdoor's Local Conversations team as a Fullstack Engineer focused on building community engagement experiences. You'll work across React frontends and Python/Django backends in a collaborative, cross-functional environment that prioritizes code quality and leverages AI tools throughout development.
What you'll do
- Build and ship high-quality web experiences using React and Python/Django across the Rewards & Incentives product area
- Contribute to entity-relationship modeling, solution architecture, implementation, testing, and iterative improvements
- Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional engineering teams on technical approaches and maintainable solutions
- Participate in team operating practices including gradual on-call shadow rotation after onboarding
- Own projects with increasing independence while contributing product perspective alongside engineering execution
- Engage with emerging AI tools and technologies to improve engineering workflows and problem-solving
