Robotics Engineer, Perception

About this role

Contoro Robotics seeks a Robotics Engineer to develop and deploy computer vision models for autonomous box detection and singulation in warehouse automation. You'll own the ML pipeline from training through edge deployment, working with production robot fleets to maximize unloading accuracy across diverse box conditions.

What you'll do

• Train and deploy instance segmentation and detection models to improve box detection accuracy for varied sizes and conditions
• Build automated dataset curation and ground-truth generation pipelines using foundation models
• Create benchmarking and regression frameworks to evaluate model performance across real and simulated data
• Optimize models for real-time edge inference using TensorRT and quantization techniques
• Debug production failures through log analysis and targeted retraining
• Collaborate with perception engineers on calibration, localization, and downstream planning integration
