Coram AI
Graduate Mechanical Engineer
About this role
Coram AI seeks a recent mechanical engineering graduate to support the design and development of electromechanical assemblies for an AI-powered video security platform. You'll work hands-on across the product lifecycle from prototyping through manufacturing, collaborating with senior engineers and vendors in a fast-paced, onsite environment.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and validate electromechanical assemblies balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost
- Contribute across product lifecycle stages including prototyping, EVT/DVT/PVT builds, vendor handoff, and field deployment
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure parts meet specifications and delivery schedules
- Take initiative on technical problems with a hands-on, scrappy approach in a fast-moving environment
- Own assigned work and help coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams
- Apply DFM/DFA principles and consider thermal, vibration, and environmental design factors
What they're looking for
- CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
- Electromechanical assembly design and validation
- DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes (sheet metal, injection molding)
- Thermal and vibration analysis
- Vendor communication and supply chain coordination
- Technical writing and verbal communication
- Hands-on prototyping and experimental validation
- Environmental and reliability design considerations
