Robotics Software Engineer

About this role

Coram AI seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to build high-performance, real-time software for edge devices powering AI-driven video security. You'll focus on deterministic execution, distributed systems, and low-level optimization rather than deep learning research, working on infrastructure that enables reliable robotics at scale.

What you'll do

• Design and implement low-latency distributed systems for edge hardware
• Write high-quality C++ or Rust code with emphasis on memory safety and performance
• Build real-time data pipelines for sensor and video streams
• Design inter-process communication between perception, control, and device subsystems
• Profile and optimize systems to eliminate latency spikes and performance bottlenecks
• Ensure stability under constrained compute, memory, and high I/O conditions

What they're looking for

• C++ programming (preferred) or Rust
• Systems-level or performance-critical software development
• Multithreading and lock-free concurrency primitives
• Edge systems or real-time platform experience
• Low-level performance profiling and optimization
• Distributed systems design
• English communication and cross-level influence
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
