About this role

Design Engineer II will lead mechanical design and product development initiatives, collaborating across teams to deliver innovative solutions from concept through validation. This role requires applying advanced engineering principles, mentoring junior staff, and engaging directly with customers while managing full project lifecycles.

What you'll do

  • Lead design, development, and validation of mechanical assemblies using CAD modeling, tolerance analysis, and strength calculations
  • Design, prototype, test, and document mechanical designs for new products with manufacturing feasibility
  • Apply engineering methodologies including FMEA, DVP&R, mathematical modeling, and process knowledge
  • Conduct design reviews, guide technical decisions, and develop validation testing strategies
  • Estimate project scope, timelines, and technical tasks; engage with customers and vendors on-site
  • Mentor entry-level engineers and contribute to internal process improvements and best practices
