About this role
Distyl AI seeks an experienced AI Engineer fluent in French to design, build, and operate production AI systems for enterprise customers across telecom, healthcare, insurance, and other sectors. You'll translate complex operational challenges into reliable AI workflows, working hands-on with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure systems deliver measurable business value.
What you'll do
- Build and operate production AI systems in customer environments with accountability for reliability and business outcomes
- Design compound AI workflows combining models, prompts, agents, tools, and retrieval systems into cohesive production solutions
- Develop clean Python services and application logic integrating AI capabilities into customer platforms and existing systems
- Measure system behavior, identify failure modes, debug issues, and iterate rapidly to improve quality and user value
- Create evaluation frameworks, test cases, and observability patterns to track and improve AI system performance
- Partner directly with customer stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify requirements and adapt systems
