Core Software Engineer

About this role

Etched seeks a versatile Core Software Engineer to build critical infrastructure and solve urgent problems across the organization. Working directly with founders, you'll ship production-quality projects weekly, spanning internal tools, customer deployments, and foundational systems for an AI inference hardware company.

What you'll do

• Identify organizational bottlenecks and develop custom solutions rapidly, often shipping new projects weekly
• Execute cross-functional initiatives between executive leadership and engineering teams
• Build and maintain core infrastructure, developer workflows, and technical foundations
• Collect company data and define operational metrics to track business-critical milestones
• Design user-facing and internal interfaces for AI inference systems
