Security Engineer
About this role
FanDuel seeks a Security Engineer to lead security initiatives across the software development lifecycle, building automation and tooling that embed secure practices at scale. You'll work cross-functionally to identify and mitigate risks, with growing expertise in AI/LLM security threats and hands-on development of security solutions.
What you'll do
- Deliver security projects aligned with quarterly team goals while partnering with engineering teams
- Identify security risks throughout design, code review, CI/CD, and production stages
- Build automation and tooling that simplifies secure development for engineering teams
- Design and implement AI Agents to enforce security controls across the software development lifecycle
- Assess and mitigate AI/LLM security threats including prompt injection and model supply chain vulnerabilities
- Collaborate on security standards and help teams evaluate risk trade-offs
What they're looking for
- Security engineering experience embedded in SDLC
- Coding proficiency in Python, Go, or similar modern languages
- Secure code review across multiple programming languages
- AI/LLM security expertise and emerging threat knowledge
- Cloud infrastructure familiarity (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Security frameworks knowledge (OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST)
- Risk analysis and threat modeling
- Software design principles and secure coding practices
