About this role
FanDuel seeks a Security Engineer to deliver security projects across their software development lifecycle, designing tooling and automation that embed secure practices at scale. You'll partner with engineering teams to identify and mitigate risks, with particular focus on emerging AI/LLM security threats as the company expands its AI-powered products.
What you'll do
- Deliver security projects aligned with quarterly team goals while working independently
- Identify security risks during design, code review, CI/CD, deployment, and production stages
- Build automation and tooling that makes secure development the default path for engineering teams
- Design and implement AI Agents to automate security controls across the software development lifecycle
- Assess and mitigate AI/LLM security risks including prompt injection and supply chain vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security standards and risk trade-offs
What they're looking for
- Security engineering embedded in SDLC
- Coding proficiency in Python, Go, or similar modern languages
- Secure coding practices and software design principles
- AI Agent design and implementation
- AI/LLM security vulnerability assessment
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Security code review for common weakness patterns
- Risk analysis and industry frameworks (OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST)
