Experienced Transportation Design Engineer
About this role
Lead transportation engineering design projects for diverse clients including public agencies and private developers. You'll develop conceptual and construction designs for complete streets, bikeways, and traffic systems while managing teams, engaging communities, and mentoring colleagues.
What you'll do
- Lead engineering and planning studies, field work, and site reviews for transportation projects
- Prepare conceptual designs, plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for complete streets and traffic infrastructure
- Manage client relationships, conduct community engagement, and coordinate with planning and engineering teams
- Oversee project tasks, assign technical staff, and ensure delivery to client objectives and industry standards
- Mentor junior staff and participate in professional development while adopting new technologies
- Develop proposals, nurture client relationships, and support business development initiatives
