About this role
Fehr & Peers seeks an experienced Transportation Engineer or Planner with 5+ years of expertise to lead complex multimodal transportation projects in the Bay Area. You'll combine technical analysis with client relationship management, mentorship, and strategic project ownership across planning, engineering, and simulation disciplines.
What you'll do
- Lead transportation planning and engineering projects across traffic operations, transit, corridors, and multimodal studies
- Apply analytical tools (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, Cube/Voyager, TransCAD, EMME) to develop evidence-based recommendations
- Communicate technical findings through writing, presentations, and stakeholder discussions
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and client relationships
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
- Support business development and participate in diverse project types including impact analyses and regional planning
