About this role
Formlabs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic systems for 3D printing technology used by industry leaders worldwide. This full-stack role spans circuit design, PCB layout, firmware development, and system integration, requiring hands-on ownership from prototyping through production and field support.
What you'll do
- Design and build prototype and production electronic systems including circuits, PCB layouts, and embedded firmware
- Own complete projects from concept through shipping, taking responsibility for all aspects of electrical design
- Design integrated subsystems combining electrical, mechanical, and sensor components with appropriate trade-offs
- Validate designs using simulations and experiments, backing decisions with data
- Debug electronics throughout the product lifecycle, from early research to field failures
- Support interdisciplinary collaboration between hardware, mechanical, and software teams
