Production Engineer
About this role
Freeform seeks a Production Engineer to oversee metal 3D-printed parts through high-volume post-processing, ensuring compliance with tight tolerances and GD&T requirements while managing customer communications and production flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Monitor day-to-day part flow through post-processing operations and identify bottlenecks early
- Evaluate part rework and nonconformance against engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
- Communicate part status, rework decisions, and deviations to customers and internal teams
- Support inspection and test procedures to verify parts meet requirements before shipment
- Provide floor-level feedback to manufacturing engineers on tooling, fixturing, and recurring process issues
- Maintain accurate production tracking and documentation for traceability
