Software Engineer, Data Platform

About this role

GlossGenius is seeking a Software Engineer to rebuild and own their data platform from the ground up, architecting scalable infrastructure that supports AI/ML workloads processing billions of transactions across 100,000+ service businesses. You'll design data pipelines, implement modern lakehouse technologies, and set technical standards that drive the company's AI capabilities.

What you'll do

• Architect and evolve scalable lakehouse infrastructure using Snowflake and Clickhouse with focus on cost efficiency and operations
• Design and implement core data models and pipelines powering analytics, ML, and AI product experiences
• Build production-grade data infrastructure enabling transformation from raw ingestion to model-ready formats
• Implement modern data orchestration patterns including medallion architectures, batch and streaming workloads, and large-scale ETL
• Define technical standards and best practices for data quality, governance, and lineage across engineering teams
• Mentor engineers and foster culture of ownership and operational excellence
