About this role

Hadrian seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to own the ML lifecycle for language models that extract and reason over manufacturing data. You'll develop fine-tuned models for document classification, information extraction, and multi-document reasoning to automate Design for Manufacturing analysis in autonomous factories.

What you'll do

  • Research, develop, and deploy fine-tuned language models for document classification, key information extraction, and table parsing
  • Build and maintain annotation tooling, implement active learning loops, and engineer synthetic data augmentation strategies
  • Develop evaluation frameworks that quantify system behavior and user impact beyond standard accuracy metrics
  • Collaborate with the ML team to set technical and product roadmaps for the AI platform
  • Own model deployment to production and maintain endpoint and model health
  • Optimize accuracy improvements to maximize time savings across manufacturing operations at scale

  • Large language model fine-tuning and RLHF/DPO techniques
  • Python and PyTorch (custom training loops, loss functions, data loaders)
  • Production ML deployment and model monitoring
  • Document understanding and layout-aware model experience
  • Annotation tooling and active learning frameworks
  • Synthetic data generation and augmentation strategies
  • Evaluation framework design for NLP/vision systems
  • CAD/CAM data processing (preferred)
