GTM Engineer
About this role
Handshake is seeking a GTM Engineer to build AI-powered automation systems that centralize customer intelligence and streamline go-to-market operations. You'll own the technical execution of workflows across Salesforce, Clay, and other GTM tools, transforming manual sales processes into intelligent, scalable systems that empower reps to focus on customer relationships.
What you'll do
- Design and build AI-driven workflows and agents using Salesforce Flows, Workato, Python, and SQL to automate GTM processes
- Mine prospect data for signals and build enrichment waterfalls in Clay that detect triggers and route qualified leads to account executives
- Translate business problems into reliable, maintainable automation systems with end-to-end ownership from design through deployment
- Develop technical documentation, monitoring frameworks, and testing strategies to ensure GTM systems remain reliable and observable
- Champion AI adoption across go-to-market teams and evangelize automation best practices and new capabilities
- Own and evolve a live portfolio of production automations while building institutional knowledge
What they're looking for
- GTM Engineering or RevOps experience (3–5 years in B2B SaaS)
- AI coding assistant fluency (Claude, Cursor, or Codex)
- Advanced Clay or equivalent enrichment/orchestration platform expertise
- SQL and data warehouse fluency (BigQuery, dbt)
- Salesforce configuration (data model, Flows, formula fields; Apex a plus)
- Python or equivalent programming language
- Systems thinking and analytical problem-solving across functions
- Ability to learn unfamiliar tools quickly and independently
