About this role
Harbinger seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer for its powertrain division to ensure component quality through supplier collaboration, audits, and continuous improvement. This role bridges internal engineering and production teams with external suppliers to maintain compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
What you'll do
- Conduct supplier audits and assess new/existing supplier qualifications
- Develop and implement supplier performance metrics and defect tracking systems
- Lead APQP, PPAP, and first article inspection processes for powertrain components
- Investigate quality issues and drive corrective/preventive action plans with suppliers
- Review supplier documentation including control plans, FMEAs, and inspection reports
- Lead MRB meetings and participate in design reviews to mitigate manufacturing risks
