Lightmatter
Reliability Engineer (Hardware)
About this role
Lightmatter seeks a Reliability Engineer to design and execute comprehensive reliability testing for advanced photonics-based AI infrastructure products. You'll develop test protocols, conduct failure analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure products meet industry standards and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Develop reliability test plans aligned with product requirements, industry standards, and customer needs
- Execute qualification testing for photonics-based AI platforms and chiplet communication products
- Conduct FMEA to identify and mitigate potential reliability risks in design and manufacturing
- Perform root cause analysis on device failures and drive cross-functional improvements
- Establish internal reliability guidelines and standards to meet benchmarks
- Use statistical analysis to model reliability performance and predict device lifetimes
What they're looking for
- Reliability test methodologies (HTOL, HAST, TDDB, HTHH, TC)
- Failure analysis tools (SEM, TEM, FIB, EMMI)
- Device physics and SerDes/digital/mixed-signal IC reliability
- Packaging failure mechanisms and 3D integration technologies
- Statistical analysis and reliability modeling (Weibull, Minitab, JMP)
- FMEA and root cause analysis
- Technical report writing and stakeholder communication
- Semiconductor or photonics device testing experience
Benefits
- Comprehensive health care (medical, dental, vision)
