About this role

Ambrook seeks a Platform Engineer to build foundational infrastructure for a Series A fintech startup serving family-run businesses. You'll own database systems, cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and emerging agent frameworks while balancing rapid iteration with production reliability and security.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain PostgreSQL databases and GCP infrastructure that supports product and internal systems
  • Build shared frameworks, evaluation systems, and operational tooling for agentic workflows
  • Plan and execute safe migrations with validation, observability, and rollback strategies
  • Partner with engineering and non-engineering teams to identify infrastructure bottlenecks and prioritize improvements
  • Establish standards for quality, security, and scalability across platform changes
  • Develop internal tooling and data platforms that improve developer velocity and company-wide workflows
